Projected Itinerary

We will be heading off to Europe on October 15th for 3 weeks. This blog has been set up to share our pictures, adventures, good times, bad times, and our meandering stream of consciousness with friends, family, and anyone else who cares to see it.  We welcome and encourage comments, questions, razzzing, etc. It will help us stay in touch.

Here is our tentative itinerary and plan:

Oct. 15th          Leave San Francisco on redeye to Boston
Oct. 16th          Arrive in Boston in the early morning; Visit with Ryan
Oct. 17th          Leave Boston in early evening
Oct. 18th          Arrive in Paris; Take night river cruise on the Seine
Oct. 19th          Tour Paris on Hop on\Hop Off
Oct. 20th          Morning train ride to Bordeaux; walking tour on our own
Oct. 21st          Wine tour: Graves et Montesquieu, la route des Grands Crus Class
Oct. 22nd         Afternoon flight to Bologna on Ryan Air
Oct. 23rd         Italian Food experience tour to Modena & Parma; Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar, Chianti........
Oct. 24th          Possible day trip to Ferrara and\or Ravenna......MY BIRTHDAY!
Oct, 25th          Train ride to............ Firenze!
Oct. 26th          Day trip to Siena
Oct. 27th          All day wine tour to Montepulciano
Oct. 28th          Day trip to ........TBA, possibly Arezzo to visit family friend
Oct. 29th          Day trip to ........TBA, definitely Arezzo if we didn't do it the day before
Oct. 30th          Morning train to Roma; Check into Excelsior Hotel; Group tour to Vatican
Oct. 31st          Business conference starts; Gala Dinner Dance at Excelsior
Nov. 1st           Conference continues; Judy tours Catacombs; Dinner at Palazzo Brancaccio
Nov. 2nd          Conference ends; Check out of Exclesior; Check into Hotel Rex
Nov. 3rd          Visit with family friends in Rome
Nov. 4th          Flight back home with stopover in New York.

  1. No, not bringing the sticks on this trip. Traveling light.......need to conserve energy for all the food & wine we will be consuming.

  5. Scott has pretty much told us that he intends to vacation at our house while we are gone. I don't like the sound of that.
