How About Those Giants??????????

We are officially underway on our Europe trip. My cousin, Sandra, graciously offered to take us out to the airport for our 11:00pm flight out of SFO. We cashed in some of our air miles to upgrade to First Class for the first leg to Boston. Judy had visions of being wined & dined and then being brought hot fudge sundaes on the flight, just like that Seinfeld episode. I will say that one nice thing about the upgrade is that we got to bypass the incredibly long line of people waiting at the security checkpoint. I couldn’t believe there were that many people travelling at that time of night. I guess we’re not the only cheapskates out there who pinch pennies by taking red-eyes.

We boarded the plane and settled into our nice wide, comfy seats. The flight attendant immediately brought us a bottle of water and we settled back and watched the parade of people heading back to their seats in steerage giving us looks that could kill. Once everyone boarded, Judy waited & waited & waited.........but the flight attendants never came back. In fact, we did not get anything until the last 30 minutes of the flight when they brought us some juice right before landing. NO SOUP FOR YOU! Not a meal, not even a peanut.

Arrived in Boston in the morning and took a cab to Ryan's apartment. The weather in Boston was a little cold & blustery, but no rain. We walked up to Boylston Street and took a look at Ryan's office. We had a nice brunch and went to the grocery store to stock up on stuff for dinner.

Since we got in so early, we couldn't check into our hotel right away. We got our bags and walked over to the Sheraton to drop them off. As we got close, there seemed to be a lot of activity around the hotel. Turns out that Obama was having a rally for the Mass. Governor at the Convention Center adjacent to our hotel. Can't tell you how enthused I was about that.

We got out of that mad house and got back to Ryan's apartment. Judy cooked up some pasta pommorola and polpette and we settled in to see Timmy & Cody carry the Giants to vicory in Game 1. It would've been a whole lot less stressful if they didn't play so many 1 run games, but then it wouldn't be TORTURE. As Judy says so often......................How about those Giants????? 3 more games and we are in the World Series. Is that too much to ask?
